We invite you to the online information days at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto (FIŠ) on Friday, 16 February 2024 and Saturday, 17 February 2024. We will present our studies at all three levels, in the fields of computer science and web technologies, informatics, data science, cyber security and information society, and much more.

At the first, undergraduate, level, you can choose between two higher professional degree programmes. If you are interested in social sciences combined with business and IT skills, you will find yourself in the Informatics in Contemporary Society programme. Or you can acquire development and programming skills in the higher professional study programme Computer Science and Web Technologies.

At the second level of study, the choice is even more varied. The master’s degree programmes in Informatics in Contemporary Society and Computer Science and Web Technologies build on the first-degree programmes of the same name, and are joined by the Master’s degree programmes in Data Science, Cyber Security and Business Informatics. We also offer a PhD programme in Information Society.

An important advantage of studying at our faculty is the possibility to participate in lectures and tutorials online at all three levels of study. Students can choose individually whether to attend lectures in person, in our premises, or online from anywhere in Slovenia or abroad. We also have internationally renowned, but always accessible, professors and researchers, friendly teaching assistants and close cooperation with local businesses.

Our graduates find jobs very quickly after graduation, and some of them even while they are still studying. There is also a high demand from various companies for students directly to the faculty – both through our Career Centre and directly from lecturers. This shows that we are educating for the most desirable professions of the future.
