Law and Leadership in Digital Society
Part-time study in Slovenian and English
Don’t miss it! VIRTUAL participation in lectures and tutorials in real time.
The master’s study programme Law and Leadership in Digital Society will equip graduates with in-depth knowledge of the legal aspects of digitalisation and sustainable development in organisations. This includes the legal regulation of work processes and human resource management, as well as business in the e-environment (contract formation), organisational and corporate leadership (corporate law aspects), management of industrial property rights, and effective dispute resolution.
The digital transformation and sustainable development also present challenges in the areas of public law, so graduates of this programme will gain insights into the characteristics and impact of relevant tax regulation, delve into the sustainability aspects of social security systems and understand the key elements of protecting fundamental human rights in the processes of digitalisation and sustainable development.
Graduates will be able to identify and manage key legal risks in the processes of digital transformation, including:
- digital business models, products, and services,
- recognising the importance of customer experience,
- personal data protection and data strategy,
- strategies for the development of digital skills and digital workplaces,
- strategies for fostering digital culture, and
- Industry 4.0.
The acquired knowledge and competences will enable graduates of the programme to pursue a successful professional career and assume leadership roles within the digital economy, whether in Slovenia, the EU, or beyond, in both the private and public sectors. Graduates will be qualified to work as implementers or consultants of specific business processes, or as experts or leaders in specialised fields of business operations.
The primary aim of the Law and Leadership in Digital Society programme is to build upon the knowledge of graduates from first-cycle Bologna study programmes who did not study law but graduated in other scientific disciplines (natural sciences, technical sciences, or social sciences). Professional, managerial, and leadership positions in organisations require a broad range of specific legal and managerial competences, which are necessary for organising processes, selecting and managing staff, project management, and managing relationships with clients, suppliers, business partners etc. The Law and Leadership in Digital Society study programme does not train for the regulated profession of ‘lawyer with a state bar examination’, as it does not provide a career path towards the state bar examination.
The master’s degree programme in Law and Leadership in the Digital Society is offered in part-time form of study in Slovenian and English.
