The latest consortium meeting for the Telemedicine Education Advancement through Microcredentials project, in which our faculty participates, was successfully held on 24th January 2025. The meeting brought together experts and partners from various institutions to discuss the progress and next steps in enhancing telemedicine education through innovative micro-credentialing.
Agenda Highlights:
- Micro-credentials in Telemedicine: Strategic development and implementation.
- Training Material Creation: Engaging and practical content to meet CTC requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring excellence through internal and external validation.
- Financial Transparency and Audit Preparation: Emphasizing meticulous documentation and compliance.
Key Decisions and Updates:
Financial Management and Audit Preparation
- Emphasis on meticulous financial documentation and transparent cost calculations.
- Introduction of time sheets to better demonstrate project involvement.
Progress on Work Packages (WP) and Training Materials
- Finalization of documents for WP1-3 is underway.
- A well-structured approach for training materials, including units, exercises, and case studies, was agreed upon.
Development of Course Syllabus and Content
- Training content to meet CTC requirements and be integrated into the Moodle platform.
- Each partner is tasked with developing a minimum of 30 slides per module.
Consultation and Quality Assurance
- Emphasis on internal and external validation of training materials.
- Integration of self-assessment questions and Moodle activities for enhanced engagement.
Challenges and Solutions:
Partners voiced concerns about transitioning from lump sum to real-cost reporting, particularly legal challenges in some countries. Colleagues from FIS reassured continued communication with the national agency to address these issues.
Next Steps:
- Presentation of Moodle Platform Model: Planned for the next meeting.
- First Draft of Training Material: To be completed by March 2025.
