Candidates for enrolment can apply within five application periods, which apply to the enrolment of citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and citizens of EU Member States, as well as other foreigners.

REGISTRATION

The application for enrolment is submitted via the eVŠ web portal with a qualified digital certificate, smsPASS, e-identity card, with an AAI account or with a username and password via the SI-PASS system, which operates within the framework of the Trust Service Authority of Slovenia.

After successfully submitting the application, a confirmation of the successfully submitted application will be sent to the e-mail address, specified in the application. If the confirmation is not sent to the specified e-mail address, it means that the application was not submitted successfully.

All required supplemental documents (scanned copies) must also be submitted electronically via eVŠ within the application period. These include:

  • Degree certificate or proof of graduation (only if the degree has not yet been awarded).

  • Certificate of the average grade for all academic years, including the final thesis grade for bachelor’s (first-cycle) studies. This document must cover the entire study period and be issued by the university where the candidate graduated (this may also be an appendix to the degree certificate).

Mandatory documents for international students (for recognition of education):

  • Certified (by court) copy of the final certificate of completed education on the 1st level of studies (bachelor’s degree) or equivalent education completed abroad*.

  • Certified (by court) copy of the supplement of the final certificate or transcript of records (certificate of completed exams)*.

    * For students who are not from EU Member States and are not from countries with which Slovenia has a bilateral agreement (Serbia, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania): These two documents must be legalized on the basis of the Hague Conventions of 1961 (in the court of territorial jurisdiction where the certificate was obtained), where the Apostille mark must be duly completed, or The Act on the Certification of Documents in International Traffic. Without legalization with an Apostille mark, the documents will not be accepted. The authenticity of the document will also be checked with the issuer of the document.

  • Certified (by court) Slovenian or English translation of the documents referred to in No. 1 and No. 2 if they are not in the English language.

  • Copy of the certificate of knowledge of English language at the appropriate level (Only for students who are not from EU Member States and are not from countries with which Slovenia has a bilateral agreement: Serbia, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania).

  • Copy of an identity document – passport (the page with the candidate’s personal data, where the name, surname, date and place of birth and citizenship are visible).

Candidates are required to monitor the e-mail address they provided in the application for enrolment and the eVŠ web portal, as communication and any invitations to supplement the application for enrolment takes place in this way. Candidates must ensure the validity of the e-mail address provided in the application.

If amendments to the Higher Education Act come into effect, all notifications and official decisions related to the application process will be delivered exclusively in electronic form via the eVŠ portal instead of by post.
